Family Worship Guide

Family worship: Exodus 30:34-38
Private worship: Job 40:6-42:6, Isaiah 65, Psalm 150, Revelation 21:1-22:5

Discussion questions: What do these passages say about God? What do these passages say about me? What do these passages say about the relationship between God and me?

PRAY

Adoration: God is holy, mighty, gracious, and merciful. Spend time declaring your love for Him.

Confession: Continually confessing your sins to God and asking for His forgiveness will keep you from taking the great price Christ paid on the cross for granted.

Thanksgiving: Express your thankfulness to God for the blessings He has given you. When we consider that we deserve punishment because of our sinfulness, and instead God gives to us His love and mercy, our only response should be one of thankfulness.

Supplication: Pray for the adults in your church. Pray that they would grow in their faith in Christ and provide godly leadership for your church. Ask God to show you how to see and respond to the needs of others.

MEMORIZE

Be sure to review scripture memory verses and catechism questions from previous weeks!

Scripture: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” –Psalm 139:14 (This scripture has been set to music by Seeds Family Worship. Listen online or purchase the track.)

Catechism:
Q. What hinders the completion of sanctification in this life?
A. The Scripture says, “The flesh lusts against the Spirit so that you cannot do the things you would” (Gal 5:17).

Q. Since we are by nature sinful, how can one ever desire to be holy and to gain heaven where God lives?
A. Our hearts must be changed before we can be fit for heaven (Eph 4:17-24; Col 3:5-12).
